Not Another Teen Mobile Content

September 11th, 2008

When we say mobile phone, first three things immediately pop into a youngster’s mind- SMS, mobile downloads such as ringtones and wallpapers, and mobile games. On the other hand, when we say mobile phone to a parent, the first thing that comes into mind is that “it is harmful for children” since it keeps them away from school homework.

Just when every thought that using mobile phones and downloading mobile contents is harmful to our young audience, think again. Educational materials are starting to make waves in the mobile marketing industry. A good example is the National Geographic, which aims to offer informational mobile content to all mobile users.

National Geographic’s move of going mobile is a good indicator that mobile marketing, particularly the mobile downloads industry, is evolving in a positive way. Now both parents and youngsters alike will have a new view of mobile phones and what contents are in store for them.
