Having all information and instructions on how to download, and which mobile devices are compatible with their mobile download offerings will make your ringtone and wallpaper hunting easier. Existence of a Customer Service Support is also a good indication that your content provider is willing to give assistance to its patrons.
Another factor to consider is the type of mobile download plan being offered by the content provider. A good download site gives mobile subscribers options if they want a subscription or one- off ringtones and wallpapers purchase.

The Latest Buzz from the Mobile Download Scene
Tons of interesting news about the mobile entertainment industry has been circulating the market for the past months. Most of these informational and catchy updates are about the mobile downloads business.
The mobile downloads has become part of the 2008 US Election Campaign strategies for both Obama and McCain. And now, McCain’s chosen VP candidate announces her Sarah Palin ringtones, aiming to reach out to more voters.
On the lighter note, Indian activists try to encourage citizens to engage in safe sex, and be comfortable when dealing with this delicate issue. And there solution was to come up with the “Condom, condom!” ringtones, where the word condom is being mentioned fifty times.
Japan also came up with its own controversial mobile download, by creating the world’s longest ringtone. The said ringtone which lasts for 61 minutes and 40 seconds aims to be part of the Guinness World Records.
The coming out of unique and original mobile downloads is quite expected. In the US alone, half of its mobile users view cell phones as entertainment gadgets, where mobile subscribers use handy phones not just to call and text, but to keep them company during down times. Mobile Content from the Friendly Neighborhood Kiosk Near You
For GenY-ers, when they say mobile content, what they mean is the mobile ringtones and wallpapers, which they can download directly from their mobile phones. Apparently, a company wants to create a new meaning to the word “mobile content” and “mobile download”. This company is introducing a new channel for mobile download aficionados where they can get their favorite mobile content. And this is through mobile download kiosks.
The company’s selling proposition is to offer customers with their favorite mobile downloads from music, movies, audio books and other media directly to their handy phones while inside the store. This is a move to boost up their sales and promote loyalty among clients, by offering them alternative (in-house) content portal.
Our say on this: This might work if the kiosks will just be an add-on feature for waiting customers, to entertain them. Yes, the mobile download kiosk concept might work. But if it will be considered as income generating avenue, I don’t think so. Since the most percentage of mobile users is the teens and tweens, who prefer to have everything in a single button, it will be difficult to pull this off. Because for sure, they will prefer to get the content they want directly from their mobile phones.
