Nowadays, everybody is learning the significance of mobile technology in their lives, which is not a surprise anymore. Let’s take for instance the music artists and record labels. Big names from the music industry are using mobile phones as an alternative distribution channel to sell more records and reach out to their fans. Def Leppard’s mobile effort of providing Bluetooth and Wi-Fi content among supporters is the band’s answer to the futuristic approach of introducing new music to their fans and getting them involved on their artistic craft. On the other hand, Ms. Hill’s campaign is intended to promote her upcoming Christmas album.

Other big names that adopted the mobile phenomena are record producer slash songwriter slash RnB- HipHop-Rap sensation Timbaland and Pop music goddess Madonna who both released songs via mobile music distribution.

With these famous music icons adopting mobile campaigns, expect more names to be part of the mobile list in months to come.

The iron phone, literally is an iron shaped phone designed by UK based designer Vladimir Rachev. Instead of being curious with the designer’s motivation for coming up with such concept, isn’t it more exciting to find out how a person would use it? Will he keep the iron away from his cheek when answering a call from that phone? Just a thought!

Talking about wild imaginations, the iron phone is nothing to the au Design Project x Yamaha mobile phones. It answers to the idea of combining music with mobile phone technology together. These mobile phones can actually produce real music and function as a handy phone. For instance, the Band in My Pocket phone that features attention-grabbing element of having different musical instruments from trumpet to harmonica, while maintaining its mobile phone features.

Last but definitely not the least is this brilliant and fashionable invention, the solar-powered necktie. It looks like an ordinary necktie but it is made out of special cloth that allows busy business people charge their mobile phones anytime they want. A perfect combination of fashion and convenience.

With endless technological advancements and man’s resourcefulness, expect more of these device and gadgets in the market.

With tons of mobile manufacturers fighting over the market’s attention, industry players can’t help but think of ways and means to keep the buyers excited and continue patronizing their brand. To do this, cellphone companies collaborate with fashion icons, work with big music labels and artists, or go for long term advantage by integrating exclusive mobile content in their mobile units.

Samsung, Motorola, and LG opted to partner with the big names of the fashion industry to showcase fashion and functionality in their products.
