Mobile Fashion 101

June 24th, 2008 Comments(0)

Fashion doesn’t only mean clothes, shoes, and accessories. Nowadays, it also applies to personalizing gadgets like mobile phones, laptops, and music players.

For laptops, aside from the colorful bags and mouse, you can also refurbish your notebooks with trendy laptop skins.  There are a lot of shops offering customized skins according to clients’ taste. The price depends on the design and materials used.

Music players also have their say on fashion. There are tons of covers, cases and straps that represent the owner’s mood and personality.

As for mobile units, there are plenty of ways on how you can fix up your cellular phones.  First, change your mobile unit’s case. You may opt for loud color or printed designs if you’re bold and artistic enough. After the covers, you can choose mobile wallpaper that represents your distinct characteristics.  Then, pimp your mobile phones with your favorite ringtones from your favorite artists.

Just keep in mind, there are no exact rules in fashion. It’s all about being creative, fresh and funky!

May the best Ringtone win!

Candidates of the 2008 US Presidential Elections found a way to remind voters to go out, make their choice, and write their name on the ballot.

From the current contenders McCain and Obama to the former aspirant Clinton, almost all candidates included mobile downloads- both ringtones and wallpapers, as part of their election campaign strategies.

Statistics reveal that most US votes are from Generation Y and US mobile users. Gen-Y voters are those of ages 18- 29 years old. They are the perfect mobile campaign target because these voters spend 70 percent of their time on mobile phones (talking and texting) than other age groups of cell phone users. As for the mobile consumer population in the US, four in five American voters (almost 80%) are cellular phone owners, a solid and well targeted audience for stiff Presidential competition.

What’s more interesting about the mobile downloads campaign, is that these candidates also acknowledge their target mobile users’ different tastes in music.

To answer their voters’ diverse music preferences, candidates had their mobile ringtones in different versions – hip hop, alternative and rock. How euphoric is that!?

Surely you can’t get her out of your head! The actress, singer- songwriter, fashion designer and survivor, Kylie Minogue still looks fabulous at the age of 40.

Being in the music industry for more than 20 years, with 10 albums and stunning 289 live concerts, Kylie made a mark from her dance, pop and electro pop music and expensive stage shows. Some of her popular songs are “Cant Get You Outta My Head”, “Spinning Around”, “Red Blooded Woman”, and “Chocolate”.

Kylie’s personal life also became controversial when she got involved in a relationship with INXS’ lead singer Michael Hutchence, French photographer Stephane Sednaoui, and French actor Olivier Martinez. By 2005, she was also diagnosed with breast cancer, which caused the postponement of her Showgirl - The Greatest Hits Tour.

Big Boy’s Mobile Toys

June 11th, 2008 Comments(0)

As they say, boys will be boys…even with phones. After presenting the mobile watch phones to the public, here comes toy car mobile phone and toy pistol phone.

The toy for big boys is now a cellular phone! Believe it or not, it is. Introducing the toy car mobile phone aka the car-shaped phones. Now car and mobile aficionados can choose between BMW and Audi as unit models. The BMW-designed mobile phone comes in black, while the Audi phone comes in white. Sporty- Race themed mobile ringtones and wallpapers will sound and look great on it.

Next on the list is the toy pistol phone. Literally, it looks like a gun with tiny phone built on its grip. It may sound (and look) crazy, but it actually works.

Watch, car, guns… what’s next?

More Than Mobile Ringtones and Wallpapers

June 09th, 2008 Comments(0)

More and more non-profit and non-government organizations continue to give a new meaning to mobile marketing.

Lately, mobile marketing, in the form of mobile downloads such as real tone ringtones, polyphonic ringtones, and mobile wallpapers, becomes a tool to outreach programs and other activities related to charitable institutions.

Adding up to the list of generous groups utilizing mobile downloads as instrument in getting support is Marie Curie Cancer Care, an institution that provides free nursing for terminally ill patients in need of care from their home. Every donor who gets a mobile download helps the organization fund its efforts.

Marie Curie Cancer Care and other organizations are living proof that mobile ringtones and mobile wallpapers can be more than “just” mobile downloads.

Jessica Found Her Way Home To The Country

After so many doubters and countless criticisms, Jessica Simpson released her first ever Country song entitled “Come On Over”. Looks like Jessica has the last laugh as her Country single made straight to no.41 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

Reinventing herself to be one of the “Women of Country Music”, Jessica will be caught on the whirlwind competition with other Country girls such as Leann Rimes, Carry Underwood, and Faith Hill. With her new found comfort zone, hopefully Ms. Simpson will finally make the most out of this great opportunity and warm acceptance given to her by fans of Country music.

Jessica Simpson, the “former” Pop icon also appeared in movies like “Employee of the Month” and “The Dukes of Hazzard” where she sang the movie’s OST – “These Boots Are Made For Walking”. She also became (and still is) a very controversial entertainment icon because of her relationships with fellow singer/celebrities – Nick Lachey from 98 Degrees and John Mayer.

It started with a simple “Single”, then became “These Words”, until her “Unwritten” words became number 1 on the US Pop Chart. And now, she wants to have your babies! No doubt, she’s unstoppable. Call her Natasha Bedingfield.

Born to a family of wonderful musicians, her singing career started when she and her siblings – Daniel and Nikola formed a dance/electronic group called The DNA Algorithm when they were teenagers. After the band broke up, both Daniel and Natasha pursue their solo careers as pop singers.

Natasha released her first album entitled “Unwritten” on 2004. Followed by “N.B.” and the latest, “Pocketful of Sunshine” with singles “Love Like This” and “Pocketful of Sunshine”.

With a talent like Natasha’s, it’s no surprise why she became a worldwide sensation.
